Home improvement, as we all know, can be a wonderful thing.
It can also be stressful.
Hard on the schedule, hard on the budget, hard on the husband.
One of my new sponsors has found a way to ease (some of ) the pain. HomeZada is an online management system for organizing all of your home projects and everything that goes along with it.

It allows you to manage your upcoming and current home and landscaping projects all in one place. The husbands will like this—it lets you budget and forecast your spending. You can now show him why you need to repaint your kitchen cabinets and rip up all of your carpet in a nice little presentation, complete with pie charts and graphs :)
The site also provides you with inspirational photos for your projects:
There’s a feature that lets you track your home inventory, along with warranties, receipts and owner’s manuals. HomeZada also keeps you on task, lets you organize your budget and save files, product research, etc.
And, there’s a calendar feature that allows you to set reminders for routine home maintenance tasks:
Giveaway Details
HomeZada is giving two winners a free one-year premium membership to the site (a $99 value).
To enter, simply leave a comment on this post and let me know what home improvement project you plan on tackling next. I’ll announce the winners on my Facebook page this Tuesday, Aug. 21st.
Good luck,

This is genius! We are in the process of remodeling or new house. Perfect timing.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I have two bathrooms that I'm about to remodel, up next? Backyard and kitchen! What a great tool to get organized! Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a life saver! My husband and I put an offer on a 1922 bungalow just last night, and as a first time home buyer, a house that age is quite scary!! Cross your fingers on our offer! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! We are working on a budget refresh of our living/dining room. New dining chairs, painting a 80's hutch and a huge faux bamboo mirror in a color to be named later. Yikes! Next up, family room!
ReplyDeleteMy atrocious 19704 blue tiled bathroom!! Ugh needs a serious intervention
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are hopefully---if all goes well---buy our first home. The timing is perfect. :) The first project we would tackle is opening up the living and dining room....and probably painting.
ReplyDeleteOh this is amazing and would love to win so we can redo some of the areas of our home that really need it!
ReplyDelete~Stephanie
Next project is painting the kitchen cabinets white & getting bew appliances! One I have been looking forward to since we moved in!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea, I don't currently need the service but maybe in the future. I was hoping you'd show us your kitchen island light today...rats!
ReplyDeleteWould this apply to someone who is selling their house? I'll enter anyway since I never win.
ReplyDeletePoor @Naz :) You're funny. (And, I always appreciate your comments.)
ReplyDeleteBtw, every time I try to respond to your comments directly from my email, I have no way to do it. I don't think you have an email address associated with your blogger account. . . .
My husband and I are working on adding handles to all of our kitchen cabinets!
ReplyDeletewe're about to GUT the BASEMENT!
ReplyDeleteAll 1200 sf of it... *sigh* not what I was hoping for on the project list. But water damage wins. Would love to try this out!!
I would love to win this! Our next project is finishing an attic room and turning it into a craft room/office! I would love to use this tool to help with organization!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! That pie graph presentation would sure come in handy with my husband - I'm trying to convince him that we need new flooring.
ReplyDeleteThere wasn't a folder that said "Husband"-hahah. This is an amazing piece of software. Maybe I wouldn't go into a project with blind ambition if I had it, and end up spending waaaaayyyy more than I'd planned!

I just starting reading your blog - over from Little Green Notebook and I'm really enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI have sheets of paper pulled from the printer that I make lists on, but then the coffee ring stains smudge the pencil! This app would be SO much easier!
This seems like a pretty cool concept and we have a few projects coming up (converting bonus room to actual bedroom and redoing our patio) that it would be helpful for. Wishing I had done something similar for our mini kitchen redo where the budget got away from me and now we are on hold with no backsplash while I save up for what I really want!!
ReplyDeleteI would love this ! We are moving back to Texas in September and will need to tackle a ton of projects in our new home once we buy!!
ReplyDeleteSo many projects, so little time! I think I am going to add better baseboard around the house next.
ReplyDeleteWe are tackling a bathroom reno in a couple months! This would certainly help me stay organized!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sponsor and idea...we need a little more organization around here! :) We try to do at least one large remodeling project a year to this old house but it is slow going! I am hoping that in the next year we can re-vamp our main hall and stairway area and hopefully renovate our (terrible awful) back porch into a "mudroom". Wish me luck...lol!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Oh my goodness! What a fabulous idea!! My husband and I are totally renovating/restoring a home that was built in 1939.... This would be a dream and come in soooooo handy for us! Right now I am just keeping everything in a binder with sleeves/tabs for organization. It is "organized chaos" at best.... Hahaha! My husband would think I am the greatest if I showed him this and had our budget, receipts, ideas, etc all prepared and organized. Pure genius!
ReplyDeleteI love this! We are going to finish our basement soon, so this would be perfect!!
ReplyDeleteoh this is fantastic!! I always jump in and start moving ... and even at the end I am not certain how much I spent on everything. Quite possibly because I am so slow in my own home. But I am in need!! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome service! Such a simple idea, I'm surprised it hasn't been around forever. We're about to put our house on the market so we have tons of improvements to make. Namely painting our electric blue (previous homeowner's idea)guest room a much more neutral shade.
ReplyDeleteSounds cool! Our next big project will be the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteWhile we always have tons of little projects going on, the next big one is turning the basement from a cave to an enjoyable family/TV room!
ReplyDeleteYes, home improvement is hardest on my husband too!
ReplyDeleteI really need a household inventory and to get those receipts and manuals organized, somehow that escaped my spring cleaning fever:)

DeleteHave you seen my before home tour... my entire house is in need of remodeling!
ReplyDeleteGreat service!
kitchen cabinets, floor and counter tops...along with piece meal completion of the landscape design...
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fantastic. I literally have scraps of paper and notes all over my house with what I want to do in each room that I end up losing or they get thrown away and I rewrite a new list EVERY week. This would help me (and my hubby) plan out and prioritize without having all my little notes cluttering up the house. Please, please pick me!
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for me since I am about to purchase a new home and there are several projects that I will need to tackle to update my fixer-uper!
ReplyDeleteOmg, this is like the commercial and industrual project management + O&M toos made for the everyday homeowner! GENIUS! As I am slowly working through our entire house...including a full-blown reno at some distant point, this would be SO helpful! Right now I am finishing the dining room and have either master bath or kitchen next.
ReplyDeleteLove this product. My husband and I purchased our first house two years ago and it hadn't been touched since it was built in 1950. We are about to tackle our first big project of completely redoing our kitchen.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! We are in our 5th fixer upper and plan to be out of here in 6 months so the projects are piling up. I could totally use an organizational tool to keep me on task.
ReplyDeleteThis is so great! We are about to remodel our 1992 kitchen and then replacing all the of the flooring in our home. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteAfter I paint and redecorate the tiny master bathroom, I'm redoing the guest/grandkids playroom. Boy, do I need suggestions and organizational ideas.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI need to paint my whole apartment and add a backsplash to my kitchen.
My husband would love this! We just made a bulletin board with all of our projects, but this will help keep everything about the projects in order...great for my type A personality! Next up on our list is clearing out and prepping our 4th bedroom as we are expecting baby #3...we're gonna board and batten that room up!
ReplyDeleteI really need to add organizers to my closet.
ReplyDeletesomething frugal at yahoo dot com
Oh, where do I start with the list of things needing to be done around here?? I really need to re-paint the living room that I just painted a color that's not working for me. My husband thinks along more practical lines - he tells me we need new gutters and downspouts. What fun is that? ;)
ReplyDeleteThe look on your husband's face is identical to the one I got this morning when I reminded my bf to call Lowes about our (post-flood lack of) flooring for the fourth time haha. This program sounds like just what I need! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a genius idea. We are going to be working on our basement and a new bathroom this winter, this would be a HUGE help!
ReplyDeleteWoo, I would love to win that. Next thing is probably to finish peeling the country blue wallpaper off the dining area.
ReplyDeleteIf I win this, I'm giving it to my lovely sister-in-law. She and my bro own their home, are in the process of renovating another for resale, and she is due with baby No. 1 in December. She could use this organization tool!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
What a great dea! We are currently saving up for a big kitchen remodel while tackling smaller projects. I'm sure this website would be handy to keep us focused and on track.
ReplyDeleteGreat product! We are getting ready to start a kitchen reno and this would come in handy!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I recently purchased our first home, and have lots of projects to tackle! This giveaway is perfect! Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteWe are building a new home and this would be perfect to help me keep up with everything!
ReplyDeleteLots of electrical work - replacing old outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
ReplyDeleteWe are actually going to meet with a kitchen designer at our local home improvement store and replace our cabinets, counter tops and appliances. We have original hardwoods buried underneath a layer of 1960s rust colored indoor/outdoor carpeting! We plan to refinish them and add trim as well. I can't wait to have a non-ugly kitchen!
ReplyDeleteMy next project will be my garden shed. It's horrible--I've been so busy this summer that (although I hate to admit this), I've just thrown stuff in there, or sat it inside the doorway. It's truly bad.
ReplyDeletephall0106 at yahoo dot com
My next project is our master bedroom. We are ready to finally get a king bed (7 years and 2 children later!). I need organization since my binder of ideas is a mess!
ReplyDeleteWe are going to work on our basement! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteJmel119@gmail.com
This is an awesome tool! I still have so many projects around here. Seems I work on everybody's but my own!Have a great weekend Emily!
ReplyDeleteGreat program! We are doing some home renovations in a house we bought last year. I'd like to tackle built-ins and a patio this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. I plan to redo my kitchen.
ReplyDeletelguilboATgmailDOTcom
Oh my gosh, I wish I had this, am in the middle of my kitchen redo and more projects on the way in our home!
ReplyDeleteWhere to begin, where to begin?!?!?!!! Let's see, I just finished my bachelors degree (literally turned in my last assignment about two days ago), my four kids started school yesterday (my "babies" are 9,12,14,&17), and I turn the great "4-0" today while I sit here stewing over which house project to do first!! We moved to south Florida two summers ago to our concrete-block-looks-just-like-all-the-other-houses-in-Florida and my to-do list is more like a "to-DREAM" list (hence, how to make my concrete block NOT look like all the others) because we have no plan to go about figuring out how to make it all come together or (most importantly) how to pay for it...(speed bump). Anyway, this HomeZada sounds great...And I love that I'll be able to come to my husband (the right brain number crunching handsome banker dude) with fancy pie charts and graphs and say, "yes honey, we DO "need" to rip up ALLLLLL of the nasty carpets...it says so right here, see..."
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome concept! We've been updating as finances have allowed for the last 9 yrs. Yet on our list are final phases of the kitchen, laundry, full bath, dining and additions of a backyard deck, mudroom & 4th bedroom. I'd love a tool to help keep us organized & on track.
ReplyDeleteWe would love to re-do our office space. It is not very functional or fun to look at right now..:( HomeZada looks like something I could use!
ReplyDeleteHaving moved into a much lager house with a lot to be done this would be a life saver. My next project is rearranging bedroom assignments to accommodate two chinese exchange students who will live with s for two years! So need to decorate two children's bedrooms and undecorated two children's bedrooms for two teenagers!

ReplyDeleteHow do I pick just one home improvement project?? There's a ton! But I think making dining room curtains will probably be next. So many!! This would be an awesome giveaway to win!
ReplyDeleteUp next...master bedroom redo! Sounds great!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway Emily. Up next is our cottage bathroom.
ReplyDeleteGreat contest.I think this will be going to rock.

Sounds like an awesome resource! Our next project?? Designing, building and decorating a new home! Excited and overwhelmed at the same time! We'd love to win!
ReplyDeleteLove it! My husband respects pies and charts:) There are a couple bath redo projects I'd like to start tackling, but as you know, there's always a project and never a shortage. Looking forward to the announcement!!
ReplyDeleteI have so many projects to get our house ready to sell! I am hoping to get my laundry room painted this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would love to convert our garage into a bedroom for our girls - if only I could get someone in my house to agree to it! Ahem!!
ReplyDeleteWe need to update everything in our house, but I'd say the next project on our list is the kids' bathroom.
ReplyDeletenow this sounds like something I could benfit from! Bring it on. Hoping this is something I can finally win:)

ReplyDeleteI love this whole organization shelf, and that app... Oh my! How that would have helped in renovating my house! I do want to say that if you have an older home make sure you check for asbestos before you start pulling things down and breathing in dust. I had this problem that no one told me about when I was buying my house. I needed help to get rid of the asbestos, and of course being that I just bought the house I had no money. I had to look up ways to help and found this great settlement loan. It helped so much and I got rid of the health hazard in my home
ReplyDeleteLove the process. I think this is one of the better articles I've seen about this topic. Thank you!

I think it's a not bad charge for this job.

ReplyDeletemodern condo design
It's just a little fix here and there. But when it comes to home design, I think the hardest part of it all is having to maintain it for the long term. Making it look good is somewhat easy, keeping it that way is a lot harder.
