Craigslist find of the week. . . .

My latest obsession: a wingback chair for my living room. I can't say I've always been a fan, but lately, I've come to appreciate the classic lines and how well this traditional piece can really mix with more modern decor.






So, my search began on Craigslist a few weeks ago, and I quickly found lots of them but in terrible fabrics and out of my budget (especially if I were to re-upholster). So, today, I find this:



A steal at $55 and in a neutral fabric. Maybe not my all-time favorite but I think with the right pillow, I can make it work. Wonder if I should stain the legs darker. . . Picking up tomorrow (pictures to come).

  1. Emily, I think wing chairs are great, too. I'm a tradionalist at heart, I suppose, but this chair frame can take absolutely any fabric pattern from mod to vintage. I just reupholstered mine myself in a raspberry pink with large scale cream paisley. Love it! Every house should have one!:)

  2. So, what ever happened with the wingback chair you found on Craigslist? I'm thinking of buying a wingback off CL but not sure if I want to recover it because of the cost.
